Description

The Gaudi Right is a 2-light wall light with an asymmetric brown and black oxide frame that sweeps upward to the right, supporting two amber frosted glass shades. Each shade is hand-formed with a marbled, peeled-glass effect that creates visible texture and tonal variation when lit. The fitting takes two G9 bulbs (sold separately) with a combined maximum load of 80W.

Designed for living room feature walls, hallways and bedroom accent lighting, the Gaudi Right sits 400mm wide by 280mm high and projects 150mm from the wall. The right-facing asymmetry means it pairs well with the left-facing variant (sold separately) for symmetrical installations either side of a fireplace, bed or doorway. The brown oxide finish on the frame shows darker and lighter patches depending on viewing angle, adding depth under both natural and artificial light.

The amber frosted glass softens the output from G9 halogen or LED bulbs, diffusing it into a warm ambient glow rather than a focused beam. The marbled effect in the glass is achieved during the blowing process, so each shade shows slightly different swirl patterns. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 dimmable bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer, allowing the light level to be adjusted for evening use.

Mantra manufactures the Gaudi range in Spain, where the glass shades are individually blown and the oxide finish is hand-applied to the metal frame. The 1kg weight and 150mm projection require a solid wall fixing — the mounting plate accepts standard M4 or M5 wall plugs and screws (not supplied). The brown oxide pairs well with warm timber, terracotta and earth-toned interiors.

The Gaudi Right takes two G9 capsule bulbs with a combined maximum load of 80W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-5W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700-3000K) to complement the amber glass.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs and connected to a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The dimmer and bulbs are not supplied with the fitting.

Can it be fitted to plasterboard walls?

The 1kg weight and 150mm projection require a solid fixing. On plasterboard walls, use appropriate cavity fixings rated for at least 2kg per fixing point, or mount to a timber batten fixed to the wall studs.

Is there a left-facing version?

Yes. Mantra produces the Gaudi in both left and right-facing variants, allowing symmetrical pairing either side of a bed, fireplace or doorway. Search for 'Gaudi Left' on the Niori site to find the mirrored version.
