The Garda is an aluminium outdoor dining table with a long rectangular top resting on two crossed, X-shaped leg frames, joined by a slim stretcher that runs its length. The frame is round extruded aluminium tube finished with a polyester powder coating. It stands 74cm high, a standard dining height that suits ordinary garden dining chairs, and comes in two sizes: 240cm long or 200cm long, both 100cm wide. The longer table gives more elbow room along each side; the shorter one suits a smaller terrace or patio.

It is made for outdoor use and is resistant to weathering and sunlight, so it belongs on a garden terrace, a patio or beside a pool, for long lunches and evening meals outside. We offer it in eight tops, among them White HPL Compact, Painted Aluminium with slats in the frame's colour, and Iroko slats, and in fifteen powder-coated frame colours, such as Textured White, Textured Ivory and Stone. Between them you can match the table to the stone, timber or planting around it, or keep top and frame in one colour for a calmer look.

The design is by Joan Gaspar, and each table is made to order in Barcelona, Spain. Care is simple: clean the powder-coated frame regularly with warm water, neutral soap and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth, rinse well and dry it to avoid water marks. The White HPL Compact top needs only a damp cloth with warm water or a mild detergent. Choose the Iroko top and the timber turns silver-grey over time, and may develop small cracks with humidity and sudden changes of temperature; the maker recommends a waterproof sealant twice a year. Packed, it weighs 36 to 98kg by size and top, so have a second pair of hands ready.
