Description

The Garda footstool is a low garden footstool on a frame of round extruded aluminium tube, finished with a polyester powder coating. Its slim legs cross beneath it in an open X on each side, and a removable cushion rests on top, included with the footstool and made in the outdoor fabric you choose. It measures 64cm wide, 51cm deep and 43cm high: a compact size that sits neatly in front of a garden lounge chair or outdoor sofa for putting your feet up, without crowding a smaller terrace.

Made for outdoor use and resistant to weathering and sunlight, it belongs on a garden terrace, a patio, a balcony or beside the pool. Set it by a lounge chair for reading in the afternoon sun, or keep it near the outdoor sofa as a spare footrest when friends come round. You choose both finishes: fifteen powder-coated frame colours, among them Textured White, Textured Ivory and Stone, and forty-six outdoor fabrics in acrylic, polyolefin and Vinytex, such as Pan White, Wabi Ecru and Pan Bone, so it can sit alongside the furniture you already have.

The design is by Joan Gaspar, and each footstool is made to order in Barcelona, Spain. The cushion is filled with 100% polyether fibre and foam. Clean the frame regularly with warm water, neutral soap and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth, then rinse well and dry the surface to avoid water marks. For the fabric, use a damp sponge with a little neutral soap in plenty of water, a soft brush for a stubborn stain and never harsh chemicals; the acrylic fabrics wash at 30°C, and the polyolefin fabrics can be brushed or vacuumed to lift dust. As the cushion is removable, it is easy to lift off and bring indoors between uses.
