Description

The Galaxy is a 10-light linear chandelier built around a horizontal black metal spine with branching arms that fan out at staggered angles, each tipped with a clear glass globe and a brushed brass collar. The branching geometry breaks the symmetry of a traditional bar pendant, giving the fitting movement when viewed from any angle. Ten G9 lamp bases sit inside the globes (bulbs sold separately).

At 96cm wide and 40cm tall, the Galaxy is sized for longer dining tables, kitchen islands and rectangular hallway voids where a single circular pendant would look undersized. The narrow 40cm vertical envelope keeps the fitting workable in rooms with 2.4m ceilings, while the suspension drop can be adjusted on installation to suit higher ceilings or double-height spaces. The branching arms project asymmetrically, so the fitting reads differently from each side of a table.

The frame combines matt black metalwork with brushed brass detailing at the central hub and at each globe collar, picking up tones from mixed-metal interiors without committing fully to either finish. The glass globes are clear rather than frosted, with a smaller opaque inner shade visible inside each one — the visible bulb glow sits at the centre of each globe rather than filling it. The fitting weighs enough to need a ceiling rose rated for chandelier loads.

What bulbs does the Galaxy take?

The chandelier takes ten G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers fit warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2.5W and 4W at 2700K-3000K. Avoid high-wattage halogen G9 bulbs in enclosed glass globes, as they generate more heat than LED equivalents.

What size room or table suits this chandelier?

The 96cm width suits dining tables of 160cm or longer, kitchen islands of 180cm or longer, and rectangular living rooms or hallways. Over a dining table, hang the lowest globe approximately 75-85cm above the table surface.

Is the drop adjustable?

Yes. The suspension cable is shortened on installation to suit your ceiling height. The 40cm fitting height is fixed; only the cable above the chandelier is adjusted.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the G9 bulbs you fit and the dimmer used. Choose dimmable LED G9 bulbs and a trailing-edge LED-compatible dimmer for best results. Non-dimmable bulbs will flicker or fail on a dimmer circuit.
