Description

The Galaxia is a 12cm square pendant light moulded from white cement with a matt finish and a single E27 bulb fitting. The concrete construction gives the pendant a 900g weight and a dense, mineral texture that contrasts with the soft white surface finish. A white powder-coated steel ceiling rose supports a single cable drop that runs down to the pendant body, which houses an opal glass sphere at the base.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas, hallways and bedrooms, the Galaxia works individually over bedside tables or console tables, or grouped in sets of two or three over kitchen islands and dining tables. The 3210mm maximum drop allows the pendant to be set at any height between 210mm and 3210mm depending on ceiling height and use, with the cable adjusted during installation. The 12cm square profile sits proportionally in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards without overwhelming smaller spaces.

The white cement finish shows minor surface variation between individual pieces due to the moulding process, giving each pendant subtle differences in tone and texture. The material absorbs rather than reflects light, creating a muted backdrop for the opal glass sphere that diffuses the E27 bulb output. The pendant accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to the fitting's voltage rating (bulb sold separately), allowing choice of colour temperature and brightness to suit the room.

What bulb does it take?

The Galaxia takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K, or a vintage filament bulb for a warmer aesthetic.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen and the dimmer switch installed. Use a dimmable LED bulb with a compatible LED dimmer switch for smooth dimming performance.

How is the drop adjusted?

The cable drop is adjusted during installation by feeding the cable through the ceiling rose and setting the pendant at the required height. Once fitted, the drop cannot be adjusted without removing the ceiling rose.

Does the white cement show variation?

Yes. Each pendant is moulded from cement, so minor surface texture and tonal variation appear between individual pieces. This is characteristic of the moulding process and material, not a defect.
