Description
The Galaxia is a 12cm diameter spherical pendant light moulded from cement and finished in a two-tone white and grey surface. The concrete shade is hand-textured during the moulding process, leaving each piece with slight surface variation and a matte finish that softens reflections. A single E27 lampholder sits inside the sphere, directing light downward through an open base.
Designed for contemporary kitchens, breakfast bars, and corridor lighting where a compact pendant is needed, the Galaxia works as a single fitting above a small table or in clusters of three to five above larger worktops and islands. The 210mm minimum drop allows it to be fitted in rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, while the 3210mm maximum drop accommodates double-height spaces or stairwells. The cable is adjustable on installation, and the white painted ceiling rose conceals the cable termination.
The concrete construction gives the 1.2kg pendant a solid presence without becoming visually heavy, and the white-grey gradient adds tonal depth where single-colour pendants can look flat. The open base allows any E27 bulb type (LED, filament, halogen up to the fitting's rating) to be used, giving control over both colour temperature and bulb visibility. Dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmer and dimmable bulb.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Galaxia takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. The pendant works with LED, filament or halogen bulbs up to the wattage limit specified in the fitting's documentation. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED bulb in the 6-10W range and 2700K-3000K colour temperature.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when fitted with a dimmable bulb and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself does not restrict dimming, but both the bulb and the dimmer must support dimming for the function to work correctly.
Does the concrete finish vary between pieces?
Yes. Each pendant is hand-textured during the moulding process, so surface texture and tonal variation differ slightly between individual pieces. This is characteristic of the hand-finished concrete material, not a defect.
Can multiple pendants be hung together?
Yes. The compact 12cm diameter makes the Galaxia suitable for cluster arrangements above kitchen islands, dining tables and bars. Spacing three to five pendants 300-400mm apart along a linear run is a common configuration for worktop lighting.
