Description

The Gaia is a tripod floor lamp built around a three-leg natural wood frame supporting a 495mm diameter fabric drum shade. The light brown wood finish shows natural grain variation and the legs are joined at a central hub that houses the E27 bulb fitting. The fabric shade diffuses light evenly downwards and outwards, while the wood frame remains visible beneath the shade creating decorative depth.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where ambient and task lighting overlap, the Gaia works beside an armchair for evening reading, in a corner to fill dead space, or flanking a sofa where a table lamp would sit too low. The tripod footprint of approximately 600mm gives stability on carpets and hard floors without needing additional weighting. The lamp accepts any standard E27 bulb up to the specified wattage, allowing choice of warm white, neutral or daylight colour temperature to suit the room.

The natural wood legs are finished with a light brown stain that preserves the grain pattern while adding warmth to the tone. The fabric shade is a neutral linen-weave textile that pairs with the wood without introducing additional colour contrast. At approximately 1500mm tall the Gaia sits at a comfortable height for directing light onto a coffee table or side surface without overwhelming the sightline across a room. The IP20 rating confirms indoor dry-location use only.

What bulb does the Gaia take?

The lamp uses a standard E27 Edison screw bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, or a higher wattage for reading.

Can the lamp be used with a dimmer switch?

The lamp itself is not dimmable. If dimming is required, you would need to use a dimmable E27 bulb paired with a compatible wall dimmer or in-line cable dimmer, though this is not a standard configuration for this product.

Is the wood finish consistent across all units?

The light brown finish is applied to natural wood, so grain pattern and tonal variation differ between individual lamps. This is characteristic of wood products and not a defect.

Is the tripod base stable on carpets?

Yes. The tripod design with a 600mm approximate footprint provides stability on most carpets and rugs. On very thick or shag-pile rugs you may prefer to position the lamp where at least two of the three legs sit on bare floor.
