Description

The Fusion is a 432mm two-light wall fitting built around a vertical cylinder of ribbed opal glass enclosed in a painted natural brass frame. The brass forms horizontal bands at top and bottom plus vertical support struts, creating a geometric cage around the diffuser. Two E27 sockets inside the glass (bulbs sold separately) provide upward and downward light that diffuses through the ribbed texture.

Designed for hallways, landings, dining room accent walls and bedroom reading positions, the fitting projects 102mm from the wall and spans 127mm in width, making it suitable for narrower wall spaces where a full sconce might overwhelm. The ribbed opal glass softens the light output and reduces glare, while the natural brass finish adds warmth to both traditional and Arts & Crafts-inspired interiors. The dual-light configuration delivers more output than single-bulb wall lights without requiring a larger fixture footprint.

The painted natural brass finish differs from plated brass in that it is applied as a coating rather than electroplated, giving a slightly softer, less reflective surface that ages more uniformly over time. The ribbed pattern on the opal glass runs vertically, echoing the orientation of the brass struts and reinforcing the upright proportions of the fitting. What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to a maximum of 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in hallways or dining rooms.

Is the light dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you fit. LED bulbs marked as dimmable will work with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself has no built-in dimming function.

How is the fitting mounted to the wall?

The Fusion mounts to a standard UK back box or surface-mounted onto solid wall via a circular backplate. The backplate sits behind the brass frame and is concealed once the fitting is assembled. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

What is the difference between painted and plated brass?

Painted natural brass is applied as a coating over the metal substrate, giving a softer, less mirror-like finish than electroplated brass. It ages more uniformly and is less prone to showing fingerprints or wear marks in high-traffic areas.
