Fruitera Glass Pendant Light 21cm - Brushed Brass

The Fruitera is a glass pendant light with a rounded, apple-shaped shade hanging beneath a slim cylindrical neck and a round ceiling canopy. The body is steel in a brushed brass finish, and the shade is vaporised glass in a gold colour that looks mirrored when unlit and turns a smoky, see-through amber once lit. It measures 21cm across and 150cm high overall. A vertical rod of integrated LED light runs down the centre of the shade, drawing 5.5W and giving 760lm, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

Hang it over a dining table, beside the sofa in a living room, next to a bed or along a hallway. The colour temperature runs from a very warm 2200K to a cool 6500K, so one light gives a low, candle-like glow for a quiet evening and a crisp white for reading or tidying. It is dimmable too, which lets you set the brightness to suit the hour. Hung singly, it gives a dining table or a living room corner a focal point, and the 21cm shade is a size that sits comfortably above a reading chair or a sideboard.

The switch is a touchless sensor, so you work the light without touching it. Underneath, the shade closes on a round brushed brass base with a small glowing centre. The brushed brass runs across the canopy, the neck and that base, so the metalwork reads as one finish from ceiling to glass. Can the Fruitera pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is meant for dry indoor rooms only, so we would keep it well away from bathrooms and outdoor spaces.

Does it need a bulb?

No bulb is needed, because the light source is an integrated LED drawing 5.5W and giving 760lm, set as a vertical rod of light inside the shade.

Can I change the colour of the light?

Yes. The colour temperature spans 2200K to 6500K, from a very warm glow to a cool daylight white, and the light is dimmable as well.

How is it switched?
