Description
The Frontera is a linear pendant light built as a long, open cage of wire cubes in a bright chrome finish, hung from a slim bar canopy on two fine wires. The body is steel, and it measures 107.5cm long and 29.5cm wide, with an overall height of 150cm. Light comes from 81 integrated LEDs rather than bulbs, each rated at 0.75W and giving 90lm, at a warm white 3000K. There are no lamps to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.
We think its long, narrow shape makes it a natural choice over a dining table or a kitchen island, where one fitting does the work of several separate pendants. Because the frame is open, you see straight through it, so it brings light to the table without a solid block hanging in your line of sight. Chrome reflects the room around it and sits comfortably with glass, steel and pale walls in a modern home. At 3000K the glow is warm rather than clinical, which suits long evening meals.
The light is dimmable, so you can bring it right down for dinner and back up for cooking or reading. It has no switch of its own and runs from your wall switch on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, with an energy class of E. As a wired-in ceiling light, it is installed by a qualified electrician. The steel frame and chrome finish give it a crisp, bright look from every angle, and the packed weight of 6.369KG is useful to know before fitting day.
