Description

The Frolmine is an LED flush ceiling light made of interlocking oval rings in a black finish, each ring edged with a white diffuser and held close to a round ceiling base. It measures 42cm long, 40cm wide and 13cm high, so it covers a good stretch of ceiling without hanging down into the room. The light source is an integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It draws 35W and gives 5,500 lumens at 4000K, a neutral white that is bright and clear rather than warm and yellow.

With that much light from one fitting, this works as the main ceiling light in a living room, bedroom, study or kitchen, where you want the whole room lit rather than one corner. The neutral white suits rooms where you read, cook or work at a desk, and the black rings give a plain ceiling something to look at, lit or unlit. Because it stands only 13cm high, it also suits rooms with lower ceilings, where a pendant would eat into head height.

The body is aluminium, finished in black, and the diffusers are white plastic; aluminium is a light, strong metal that does not rust. The light is not dimmable and has no switch of its own, so it runs from your existing wall switch and gives its full output each time. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 1.77KG. It carries an energy class of D. As it gives one level of light, we suggest pairing it with a table lamp for softer evenings.
