Description
The Frimenne is a compact plug-in spotlight in white and chrome, with a steel body and a small spot head that angles the light just where you need it. It is 7cm long and 10cm high, and stands 16.5cm out from the wall when plugged into a socket, so it sits neatly by a skirting board or a bedside table without taking any floor space. The light comes from a GU10 bulb of 2.8W giving 250lm, a focused pool of light rather than a light for the whole room. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms only, away from bathrooms and splashing water.
We think it earns its place as a night light: on a landing, in a hallway, at the top of the stairs or beside a child's bed, wherever a little light after dark helps. Because it simply plugs into a socket, there are no tools and nothing to fix to the wall, and it moves from room to room as easily as you do. Point the head at the floor for a guiding glow, or angle it towards a shelf or a picture to light it. The white body blends into a pale wall, while the chrome joint and the chrome ring around the bulb add a bright, clean touch.
The body is steel, finished in white with chrome details, and a rocker switch on the front turns the light on and off without unplugging it. It runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and weighs 0.288KG packed, so it is easy to move between rooms. GU10 is a widely used bulb cap, which makes a replacement bulb simple to find. Chrome keeps its shine with a wipe from a soft, dry cloth, and the installation instructions come as a download, so you have them whenever you need them.

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for dry indoor rooms only, so we would keep it well away from bathrooms and any splashing water.

It takes a GU10 bulb. The light is 2.8W and gives 250lm, a focused pool of light suited to a landing, a hallway or a bedside.
How far does it stand out from the wall?
Once plugged into a socket it stands 16.5cm out from the wall, and the body itself is 7cm long and 10cm high.
Does it have its own switch?
Yes, a rocker switch on the front lets you turn the light on and off without unplugging it, so it can stay in the socket.
