Description

This stoneware book vase is shaped like a slim hardback, with a cream finish and fine gold lines framing its cover like a well loved edition. It stands 14.2cm tall, 9.7cm wide and 4cm deep. On the front, a little illustration of two friends reaching up towards a golden crescent moon sits among scattered stars and hearts, beside the words 'Friends are like good books. You always want more time with them.' The spine is a soft pink panel carrying a second line, 'Let your days be filled with words and stories that inspire you', and a small gold heart sits in each corner of the cover.

Because it is only 4cm deep, it slips onto a bookshelf between real books, where its spine reads like one more title on the row. It also stands on a mantel, windowsill, desk or bedside table with the cover facing out. The opening along the top suits a few slender stems or a small posy, and it looks just as at home left empty as a little decorative piece.
