Description

This little pink jug carries a cheerful message for a good friend, with FRIENDS bloom TOGETHER printed across the front beneath a pair of raised white flowers on a slender green stem. It is made from stoneware in a soft pale pink with a glossy finish, and the embossed flowers, each with a sunny yellow centre, stand proud of the surface so the design catches the light. The body tapers gently from a wide base to the rim, with a neat pouring lip on one side and a generous looped handle on the other. It measures 8.5cm tall, 7.5cm across and 5.5cm deep, a compact size that fits easily on the narrowest shelf.

Because it is so small, it suits all sorts of corners around the home: a kitchen windowsill, a dresser shelf, a bedside table or a desk that needs a little colour. The pale pink sits happily alongside whites, creams and soft greens, and the flowers give it a fresh, springlike feel. We think it makes a thoughtful thank you gift for a friend who has been there through thick and thin, and a sweet Mother's Day present for a friend who is a mum too. The words say what a card might, so it carries the message for you.

The jug is stoneware, with the lettering applied as a decal and the flowers raised in relief, so the piece has a little texture as well as colour. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it straight away. For gifting, wrap it in tissue and tuck it into a gift bag with a handwritten note, or set it out on a shelf where it brings a smile every morning.
