Description

The Frances is a 550mm crystal chandelier with 14 E14 bulb fittings arranged across a gold-plated metal frame. The structure layers square-cut crystal panels in tiered bands around the upper column, with rows of faceted crystal buttons cascading vertically between the tiers. The lower skirt holds 40mm cut crystal spheres suspended on individual chains, creating a dome shape that catches and refracts light in multiple directions.

Designed for dining rooms, hallways and double-height reception areas with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Frances provides both decorative presence and functional overhead lighting. The 900mm minimum drop positions the chandelier 700-800mm above a dining table surface in standard ceiling heights, with the chain extending to 2400mm for taller spaces. The 14 E14 bulbs distribute light evenly across the full diameter, avoiding dark spots at the perimeter. Bulbs are sold separately, with warm-white 2700K-3000K LEDs between 4-6W per bulb typical for residential dining use.

The gold finish on the frame provides warm reflections that complement the crystal without competing for visual attention. At 19.8kg the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or plasterboard anchor rated to carry the weight. The crystal panels and spheres are individually wired to the frame, allowing damaged pieces to be replaced without dismantling the entire structure. The chandelier requires 14 E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Maximum 60W per bulb. Most buyers use warm-white LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for dining room use, giving a combined output of 56-84W equivalent incandescent.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.
