Frame 9 Light Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Gold

The Frame is a 65cm diameter semi-flush ceiling light with a geometric gold metal frame suspending hundreds of clear ribbed glass tubes in a multi-tier arrangement. Nine E14 bulb sockets sit within the frame, each positioned to cast light both up through the ribbed glass and down into the room. The glass tubes are embossed with vertical fluting that refracts and diffuses the light, creating a textured glow across the ceiling and walls.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls with standard 2.4-2.6m ceiling heights, the Frame's 33cm drop keeps the fitting clear of head height while maintaining presence. The semi-flush fitting fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose with the 65cm frame spanning enough width to anchor large open-plan spaces or dining tables seating six to eight. The nine bulbs provide distributed light output without a central glare point, making the fitting suitable for both ambient lighting and as a decorative feature above conversation areas.

The gold finish is applied to the metal frame in a warm tone that sits between polished brass and antique gold, with enough sheen to reflect light from the bulbs without creating harsh mirror reflections. The glass tubes hang in concentric tiers from the frame, with the longest tubes on the outer edge and progressively shorter tubes towards the centre, creating a cascading visual rhythm. Each tube is individually mounted to the frame with small metal clips, and the ribbed embossing pattern runs vertically down the full length of each tube. The combination of metal frame geometry and glass tube texture gives the fitting a mid-century modern character that pairs with both warm-toned interiors and cooler greys.

Product Manual

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Frame takes nine E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to balance light output with the decorative glass effect.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 33cm drop makes it suitable for standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4-2.6m. The semi-flush fitting sits closer to the ceiling than a full pendant, keeping the fitting clear of head height in circulation areas while maintaining visual presence.

What room size does the 65cm diameter suit?

The 65cm diameter works in rooms from 4m x 4m upwards. It suits dining tables seating six to eight, living rooms of 20-30 square metres, and entrance halls or landing areas where a larger decorative fitting is needed without dominating the space.

How are the glass tubes fitted?

Each ribbed glass tube clips individually onto the metal frame with small metal fixings. The tubes are pre-assembled by Maytoni and arrive attached to the frame. If a tube needs replacing due to damage, individual tubes can be unclipped and replaced without dismantling the entire fitting.
