Foxleigh Cobalt Table Lamp - Gold

The Foxleigh in cobalt puts a deep blue glass body under a gold shade, standing 485mm tall with a shade 360mm across. The glass carries the colour right through, so it holds its own as an object during the day and glows from within once the lamp is on. A single 10W E27 LED lamp lights it. At 3.6kg it is a substantial table lamp for its height, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. Gold above cobalt is a warm and cool pairing that keeps the lamp from reading as either one thing or the other.

Cobalt is strong enough to carry a room, so we would give the Foxleigh space: a sideboard, a hall console, a desk, or a bedside table in a bedroom with quiet walls. Anywhere it can be seen from a seated position, the coloured glass earns its keep. Light goes down onto the surface and up the wall behind from the open gold shade, giving a warm pool rather than broad room lighting. Use it as the second or third light in a room, layered with a ceiling fitting, rather than expecting it to light a whole space on its own.

The body is cobalt glass and the shade is metal in a gold finish, with Class 2 double insulated construction. Wipe the glass with a soft dry cloth, use a barely damp one for finger marks and dry it before switching back on, and keep solvents and abrasive creams off both the glass and the gold. Let the lamp cool before changing it, and lift the whole thing by the base rather than the shade. What is the lamp made of?

How do I clean the glass?

Which bulb does it take?

How big is it?

485mm tall with a 360mm shade diameter. The shade is wider than the base, so measure a narrow bedside table before ordering.

Where can I use it?

Dry indoor rooms, as it is rated IP20. Bedrooms, living rooms, halls and studies suit it; bathrooms and outdoor spaces do not.
