Description

The Fort is a WiFi-enabled indoor security camera recording 1080p HD video with motion-activated recording to included storage. The camera connects to a home WiFi network and streams live video to a smartphone app, with all footage stored locally on the device rather than requiring a cloud subscription. A micro-USB cable powers the unit from any standard USB adapter or mains socket with a USB port.

Designed for monitoring entry halls, living rooms, nurseries and home offices, the Fort mounts on a tabletop stand or can be wall-mounted using the integrated bracket. The 85° wide-angle lens covers a typical 3-4m room width from a corner position, and the 10m infrared LED ring provides black-and-white night vision when ambient light drops below 0.1 lux. Motion detection triggers automatic recording, with alerts sent to the paired smartphone.

The built-in microphone and speaker support two-way audio, allowing communication through the camera from the app. The 4mm fixed lens provides sharp focus at 1-5m viewing distances, making the camera suitable for monitoring room activity rather than fine detail at distance. The white plastic housing measures 115mm wide by 185mm tall and sits on a tiltable stand that adjusts the vertical viewing angle by approximately 30°.

Frequently Asked

Does the Fort require a subscription for recording?

No. The camera includes onboard storage for motion-activated recordings, with no monthly subscription or cloud fees. All footage is stored locally on the device and accessed through the smartphone app over WiFi.

What WiFi standard does it support?

The Fort connects to standard 2.4GHz WiFi networks. Check the product manual for specific WiFi protocols supported (typically 802.11b/g/n). The camera requires a stable WiFi signal within 10-15m of the router for reliable streaming.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. The Fort carries an IP20 rating, meaning it has no protection against moisture or dust ingress and is designed for indoor use only. For outdoor monitoring, see Niori's outdoor-rated camera range.

How is the camera powered?

The Fort is powered by a micro-USB cable (included) plugged into any standard USB power adapter or USB socket. The cable length determines placement flexibility — typical USB cables are 1-2m, so the camera needs to be within cable reach of a mains socket or USB power source.
