Description
The Fort Smart Alarm Hub (ECSPHB) is a Wi-Fi-enabled alarm control panel from ESP that supports up to 32 wireless RF devices on a 433MHz frequency, controlled via a dedicated smartphone app. The hub connects to a home network over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and includes a GSM backup facility that maintains alarm operation and sends alerts if the broadband connection drops. A built-in 95dB siren activates on trigger, and the hub carries an internal backup battery providing up to eight hours of standby time during mains power failures.
Designed for residential and small commercial premises, the Fort hub works with ESP's range of RF sensors including door/window contacts, PIR motion detectors, smoke detectors and panic buttons. The 80-metre open field RF transmission range covers typical single-dwelling layouts, with the hub positioned centrally to maintain signal to devices in outer rooms. The app allows arming, disarming, zone monitoring and alert configuration from any location with mobile data, and requires no ongoing subscription fees beyond standard network data charges.
The hub measures 170mm wide, 115mm deep and 55mm tall, mounting to a wall or sitting on a shelf. The white matte-finish housing matches typical Wi-Fi router aesthetics and blends into utility cupboards, hallways or back-of-door positions. The GSM backup requires a standard SIM card (not included) — any UK network SIM will work, though ESP recommends a PAYG SIM with sufficient credit for SMS alerts. The 2.4GHz Wi-Fi requirement means the hub will not connect to 5GHz-only networks.

Frequently Asked
Does the hub require a subscription?
No ongoing subscription is needed for app control or alert notifications. The hub uses your home Wi-Fi for primary communication and a PAYG SIM (sold separately) for GSM backup. Standard mobile network data or SMS charges apply if GSM backup is used.
What devices can the hub control?
The Fort hub supports up to 32 wireless RF devices on a 433MHz frequency, including ESP door/window contacts, PIR motion detectors, smoke detectors, panic buttons and RF keypads. All devices must be from ESP's compatible Fort range.
How is the hub powered?
The hub runs on mains power via the included adapter. A built-in backup battery provides up to eight hours of standby operation if the mains supply is cut, keeping the alarm system active during power outages.
Can the hub connect to 5GHz Wi-Fi?
No. The Fort hub requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, ensure the 2.4GHz band is enabled and the hub is connected to that band during setup.
