Description
The Focus S is a single surface-mounted spotlight with a matte gold aluminium housing, 5.2cm diameter cylindrical head, and a compact 12.8cm projection from the ceiling. The spotlight accepts a single GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately) and rotates on a swivel joint inside the ceiling-mounted base, allowing the beam to be directed at wall art, architectural features, or work surfaces.
Designed for accent lighting in residential and commercial interiors, the Focus S suits galleries, hallways, kitchens and retail displays where directional light is needed without a recessed fitting. The 5.2cm diameter head keeps the visual mass low, so multiples can be installed in a line or grid without overwhelming the ceiling plane. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas only.
The matte gold finish on the aluminium housing provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass hardware, warm timber joinery and soft grey or off-white walls. The matte surface scatters reflections rather than producing hard highlights, giving a softer appearance under daylight than polished finishes. The cylindrical housing conceals the GU10 lamp holder and wiring, presenting as a single clean form on the ceiling.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Focus S take?
The spotlight takes a single GU10 bulb up to 10W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a GU10 LED between 5-7W and 3000K for warm directional accent light.
Can the spotlight head be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The cylindrical head rotates on a swivel joint inside the ceiling-mounted base, allowing the beam direction to be changed without rewiring. The adjustment range covers approximately 180 degrees from vertical.
Is it suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use?
No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight is rated for dry indoor areas only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens above wet zones, or any outdoor installation.
How is it wired?
The spotlight requires mains voltage 220-240V AC wired into a ceiling junction box or existing spotlight circuit. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671.
