Description

The Focus LED track light lens is a 43mm diameter transparent plastic optical accessory designed to fit Maytoni Focus LED track spotlights. The 36° beam angle converts a narrow spot beam into a wider flood distribution, spreading light across a broader area whilst softening the intensity at the centre of the beam. The lens is 1.9cm deep and clips or screws onto the front of compatible Focus track heads.

Used in retail, gallery, hospitality and residential track lighting installations where the existing beam is too narrow for the task. A 36° beam suits medium-throw accent lighting across a 2-3m wall wash, general illumination in dining areas, or softening spotlights aimed at merchandise displays where harsh shadows need reducing. The lens allows one track system to serve multiple lighting functions by swapping optical accessories rather than replacing entire luminaires.

The transparent plastic construction maintains high light transmission whilst the optical geometry redistributes the beam pattern. The lens adds minimal weight to the track head and does not require tools for installation on most Focus models. The 43mm diameter is specific to Maytoni Focus range compatibility and will not fit other manufacturers' track systems without adapter rings.

The 43mm diameter lens is designed for Maytoni Focus LED track spotlights. Check the diameter of your existing track head aperture before ordering — the lens will not fit other Maytoni ranges or third-party track systems without an adapter.

How does the 36° beam angle compare to a standard spotlight?

Most track spotlights provide a 15-24° narrow spot beam. The 36° lens widens this to a flood distribution, roughly doubling the illuminated area at a given throw distance and reducing centre-beam intensity by approximately 40-50%.

Does the lens reduce light output?

Transparent optical plastic transmits 90-95% of the light passing through it, so the reduction in measured lumens is minimal. The perceived brightness at the centre of the beam decreases because the same light is spread across a larger area.

How is the lens fitted?
