The Focus is a 171mm frosted plastic diffuser cylinder designed to fit over 12W LED track light heads. The frosted white plastic transforms a direct spotlight beam into a softer, wider wash of ambient light by scattering the LED output through the translucent material. The diffuser clips or slides onto compatible track heads, covering the lamp module and redirecting the beam pattern from a concentrated spot into a broad, even glow.

Designed for retail, hospitality, gallery and residential track lighting systems where glare reduction is needed without losing overall light levels, the diffuser suits larger open-plan spaces — living rooms, kitchens, offices and commercial interiors — where harsh spotlighting creates discomfort. The 171mm length covers the full lamp module of most 12W track heads, and the 52mm diameter fits standard track light housings. Once fitted, the diffuser remains in place during normal use and can be removed for lamp changes or cleaning.

The frosted white finish hides the internal LED module and prevents direct views of the light source, reducing glare for anyone in the beam path. The plastic construction is lightweight and does not add significant load to the track head, and the IP20 rating confirms indoor-only use. What track lights is this compatible with?

The diffuser fits 12W LED track light heads with a 52mm diameter housing. Check the diameter of your track head before ordering. It is designed for the Maytoni Focus track range but may fit other brands with similar dimensions.

Does it reduce the light output?

The diffuser does not reduce the total lumen output of the lamp, but it spreads the light over a wider beam angle. This lowers the peak brightness in the centre of the beam while increasing illumination at the edges, creating a more even wash rather than a focused spot.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating confirms indoor use only in dry environments. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near splashback zones, or any area where moisture is present.

How is it cleaned?

Remove the diffuser from the track head and wipe with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, a mild detergent solution can be used. Dry thoroughly before refitting to the track light.
