Description

The Focus is a 20W LED track spotlight with DALI dimming control and adjustable colour temperature from 2700K warm white to 6000K cool white, housed in a cylindrical black aluminium body measuring 220mm long by 62mm diameter. The spotlight mounts magnetically onto a compatible 48V DC track rail, allowing the fitting to be repositioned along the track without tools or wiring changes.

Designed for retail, gallery, office and residential applications where directional accent lighting needs to be reconfigured regularly, the magnetic track system removes the need for twist-lock or clip-in mechanisms. The spotlight can be moved, rotated and tilted on the track while remaining powered. DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) control allows the spotlight to be grouped and programmed within a larger lighting control system, enabling scene-setting, scheduled dimming and integration with building management systems.

The adjustable colour temperature function allows a single fitting to deliver warm 2700K light for evening retail displays, neutral 4000K for office task lighting, or cool 6000K for clinical or technical environments, all controlled via the DALI bus rather than requiring multiple fittings or manual switching. The black powder-coated aluminium body resists fingerprints and minimises glare when viewed from typical eye-level positions in commercial spaces. The IP20 rating limits use to indoor dry locations only.

The 48V DC low-voltage track system requires a separate transformer and track rail (sold separately). Maytoni's Focus series includes multiple wattages, beam angles and finishes on the same magnetic track platform, allowing mixed configurations on a single run of rail.

What is DALI control and do I need it?

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is a commercial lighting control protocol that allows individual spotlights to be addressed, grouped and programmed within a larger system. If you're installing multiple spotlights and want centralised dimming, scene-setting or integration with building automation, DALI is beneficial. For single-room residential use with manual switching, standard on/off control may be sufficient and a non-DALI version of this spotlight would be more cost-effective.

What track rail does this spotlight require?

The Focus mounts on Maytoni's 48V DC magnetic track rail system, which is sold separately. The track requires a compatible 48V transformer. The spotlight will not fit standard mains-voltage track systems from other manufacturers.

How is the colour temperature adjusted?

Colour temperature adjustment is controlled via the DALI bus using a compatible DALI controller or building management system. The spotlight does not have a manual switch or remote control for colour temperature — it requires DALI infrastructure.

Can the spotlight be repositioned while powered?
