Description
The Fluxon is a 1030mm crystal ceiling light built on a rectangular chrome frame with eight E14 bulb fittings arranged in two parallel rows. The frame carries four tiers of cut crystal droplets and rectangular prisms in a cascading arrangement, with shorter crystals forming an upper tier and longer prisms hanging below to create depth and refraction layers.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallways with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Fluxon delivers ambient and decorative light in one fitting. The eight bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the crystal tiers, so the light source is partially concealed and the crystals themselves become the visible element. The dimmable circuitry allows brightness to be adjusted depending on time of day or occasion, from full output for functional task lighting to low-level ambient for evening use.
The chrome finish is polished rather than brushed, giving the metal frame a mirror-like surface that reflects light and reinforces the overall brightness of the fitting. The rectangular footprint of 1030mm x 305mm suits dining tables up to 2.4m in length or kitchen islands where the fitting can be positioned centrally or as one of a pair. The IP20 rating limits the Fluxon to dry indoor use only — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or any location where water contact is possible.
Each crystal tier uses a mix of droplet and rectangular prism cuts. The rectangular prisms catch and refract light differently depending on viewing angle, creating movement in the visual pattern as people move around the room. The combined weight of the metal frame and crystal elements means the fitting requires a ceiling joist or reinforced mounting point capable of supporting approximately 5-6kg.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Fluxon take?
The fitting takes eight E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for dining use, or clear filament-style LED candles for a more decorative appearance when the bulbs are visible through the crystal.
Is it dimmable?
Yes. The Fluxon is rated as dimmable, but compatibility depends on the specific bulbs and dimmer switch used. Pair with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a trailing-edge LED-compatible dimmer for best results.
What table length does it suit?
The 1030mm length suits dining tables up to approximately 2.4m in length. For longer tables, consider installing two Fluxon fittings spaced evenly, or select a longer linear chandelier from the Ideal Lux range.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the Fluxon is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones or any location where water contact is possible.
