Description

The Fluxion-2 Small is a 290mm conical pendant light combining a white metal shade with a brass cage frame that wraps around the top of the cone. The shade directs light downward through a single E27 bulb fitting, making it a focused task light rather than ambient illumination. The brass frame extends upward to form a suspension cage, with the twisted fabric cable running through the centre.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and work surfaces where directed downlight is needed, the Fluxion-2 pairs its industrial cage structure with the softer white shade to balance utility and visual warmth. The 1020mm cable length is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to hang 600-800mm above a worktop or dining table depending on ceiling height. The E27 fitting accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W (bulbs sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb.

The white powder-coat finish on the metal shade provides a clean backdrop that reflects light back upward into the room while the brass cage adds a warm metallic accent. At 290mm diameter, the Fluxion-2 sits comfortably over a single seat at a dining table or a compact kitchen prep zone without overwhelming the space. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. Multiple Fluxion-2 pendants can be grouped in a row over a longer island or table to create even coverage across the surface.

Frequently Asked

Is this pendant dimmable?

Yes, the Fluxion-2 is rated as dimmable. You will need both a compatible dimmer switch and a dimmable E27 bulb to achieve dimming functionality. Not all LED bulbs dim smoothly, so check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before pairing.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for task lighting over kitchen or dining surfaces.

How far should it hang above a table or worktop?

The 1020mm cable is adjustable on installation. For kitchen islands or dining tables, the pendant typically hangs 600-800mm above the surface to provide focused downlight without obstructing sightlines across the table.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Fluxion-2 is suitable for dry indoor locations only and is not protected against moisture ingress. It cannot be used in bathrooms or other wet or damp environments.
