Description

The Fleur is an outdoor pendant light built around a 15cm-diameter antique bronze aluminium lantern frame with Gothic arch detailing and a seeded glass diffuser. The frame is rated IP44, protecting the internal E27 bulb fitting from rain and splashing water, making it suitable for covered porches, gazebos, pergolas and entrance canopies where the pendant is sheltered from direct overhead weather.

Designed for traditional and period-style outdoor settings, the Fleur pairs a decorative cast-aluminium body with functional outdoor lighting. The 40cm drop from ceiling rose to base of the lantern works well under porches with 2.2-2.5m clearance heights, and the chain can be shortened during installation to suit lower canopies or awnings. The seeded glass creates a textured diffusion pattern that softens the light from an exposed-filament or LED bulb while allowing enough direct light through for pathway visibility or door illumination.

The aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and damp climates better than steel equivalents, and the antique bronze finish is applied as a powder coat over the aluminium base, giving a weathered patina effect without the maintenance requirements of real bronze. The lantern frame measures 15cm across and 40cm in height, giving it enough visual presence to anchor an entrance without overwhelming a narrow porch or doorway. The E27 fitting accepts standard bulbs up to 60W, with most installations using a warm-white LED between 6-10W for practical outdoor use.

Can this be used in fully exposed outdoor locations?

The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, but not direct overhead rainfall or submersion. It's designed for covered outdoor areas such as porches, canopies, pergolas and gazebos where the pendant is sheltered from direct weather.

What bulb does it take?

The Fleur uses a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K for outdoor ambiance and door illumination.

Is the chain length adjustable?

Yes. The chain can be shortened during installation to suit lower canopies or to reduce the drop where ceiling clearance is limited. The total drop from ceiling rose to base of lantern is 40cm as supplied.

How is the antique bronze finish maintained?

The powder-coated aluminium finish requires minimal maintenance. Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dust and pollen buildup. Avoid abrasive cleaners or wire brushes, which can damage the powder coat and expose the aluminium underneath.
