This is our fleece anti-slip rug underlay: a plain white sheet of machine made polyester that lies flat on the floor beneath a rug. It is not a rug in its own right but the layer underneath one, with a soft, fleecy surface and no pattern or colour to show through. Its job is simple. It sits between your rug and the floor and helps keep the rug from sliding about as you walk across it.

We suggest it first for the hallway, where a rug or runner is walked over all day, and it sits just as happily under a rug on a wooden floor in a living room. We sell it in six sizes so you can match it to the rug you already have: 60 by 120cm and 80 by 150cm for smaller rugs, a 60 by 300cm runner size for a hallway runner, and 120 by 180cm, 160 by 225cm and 180 by 290cm for larger rugs that sit under a sofa or across a seating area.

Being anti-slip is the reason to buy it: if your rug shifts or rucks up every time someone crosses it, this is the layer that helps hold it in place, and the plain white fleece stays out of sight beneath the rug so the look of your room is unchanged.
