Flavia 3 Light Spot Ceiling Light - Black Chrome

The Flavia is a 3-light semi-flush ceiling spotlight built around an 800mm black chrome bar from which three curved arms extend, each holding a handcrafted frosted-clear glass shade. Each shade houses a G9 bulb (sold separately) behind a dual-layer glass design: frosted inner glass diffuses the light into a soft glow, while the clear outer layer maintains definition and allows the frosted effect to remain visible when unlit.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining areas, hallways and living rooms with standard ceiling heights of 2.4m, the semi-flush fitting sits 160mm below the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms where a pendant drop would be too low but a flush fitting would lack presence. The three spotlights can be angled independently on installation to direct light across a worktop, down onto a dining table, or along a corridor. The 800mm length suits rooms 3-4m wide.

The black chrome finish is a dark gunmetal tone with a reflective surface that sits between polished chrome and matt black, offering depth without the high gloss of polished finishes. The curved arms sweep outward in opposing arcs, creating a balanced geometry when viewed from below. At 1.5kg the fitting carries enough mass to feel solid without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings in modern plasterboard construction.

The three sockets accept a combined 120W across the fitting, which allows up to 40W per bulb, though dimmable G9 LEDs draw far less power while reaching the same brightness. Warm 2700K to 3000K bulbs suit dining and living rooms, and pairing them with a compatible dimmer switch lets you set output from full task level down to a low ambient glow for the evening. Bulbs are sold separately.

What bulbs does the Flavia take?

The fitting takes three G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. We suggest pairing this with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K warm white. The maximum load per socket is 40W, giving a combined maximum of 120W across all three bulbs.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible, but you must use dimmable G9 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED G9 bulbs dim smoothly, so check bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchasing.

Can the spotlights be angled?

Yes. Each glass shade sits on a curved arm that can be rotated on installation to direct light where needed. Once the shade is tightened into position it holds that angle during use.

What ceiling height is needed?

The semi-flush design projects 160mm below the ceiling, making it suitable for standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m and above. In rooms with 2.3m ceilings it will still work but may feel more present overhead.
