The Flara is a 75cm horizontal wall light built around a single integrated 30W LED strip housed in a black metal bar. The fitting measures 750mm wide by 80mm high and projects just 80mm from the wall, giving it a low-profile presence that works on narrow hallways, staircases and feature walls where a deeper wall light would intrude into circulation space. The LED strip casts warm 3000K light both upward and downward, washing the wall surface with indirect light.

Designed for residential hallways, landings, corridors and feature walls in living rooms or bedrooms, the Flara works best on plain-painted surfaces where the up-and-down light reveals wall texture without creating harsh shadows. The 30W output provides functional illumination rather than accent lighting, making it suitable for primary lighting in circulation areas or supplementary lighting in larger rooms. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations.

The black powder-coated metal housing absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping attention on the wall wash effect rather than the fitting itself. The metal construction carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux and houses a non-replaceable integrated LED, so when the LED reaches end-of-life after approximately 30,000 hours, the entire fitting is replaced. The 750mm width suits wall sections between windows, above consoles, or flanking a central feature like a mirror or artwork.

What mounting height works best?

Most installations position the Flara between 1.8m and 2.2m above floor level on a hallway or landing, or slightly higher on a feature wall depending on ceiling height. The up-and-down light wash works best when there is sufficient wall space above and below the fitting to reveal the wash effect.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Flara is suitable for dry indoor locations only and does not meet bathroom zone requirements. For bathrooms, look for fittings rated IP44 or higher.
