Description
The Flara is a 29cm white metal wall light with an integrated 12.5W LED emitting 4000K cool white light. The rectangular profile measures 290mm wide by 90mm projection, with the LED module concealed behind a white metal fascia that directs light both upwards and downwards along the wall surface.
Designed for task-oriented spaces needing clear neutral illumination, the Flara suits kitchens, home offices, bathrooms (dry zones only — IP20 rated), hallways and commercial settings where cooler light supports detailed work or visual clarity. The flush mount sits flat against the wall, fitting UK standard back boxes, and the compact 29cm width allows installation above worktops, beside mirrors or in narrow corridors without overwhelming the available wall space.
The white powder-coated metal finish provides a clean backdrop for both contemporary and minimalist interiors, while the 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white and daylight, offering a neutral tone that doesn't shift colour perception in the room. The integrated LED cannot be replaced separately but carries a rated lifespan of approximately 25,000-30,000 hours, translating to 8-10 years of typical domestic use at 8 hours per day. The non-dimmable output delivers consistent brightness from switch-on.

Frequently Asked
Is the Flara dimmable?
No. The integrated LED operates at fixed 12.5W output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. Installing it on a dimmed circuit may cause flickering or damage the driver.
What is the difference between 4000K and warmer colour temperatures?
4000K is classified as cool white or neutral white. It produces a crisper, slightly bluer light than warm white (2700K-3000K), making it better suited to task areas like kitchens and workspaces where colour accuracy and visual clarity matter. Warmer temperatures create a more relaxed, ambient effect better suited to living rooms and bedrooms.
Can this be used in a bathroom?
Only in dry zones. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress, so it must be installed outside zones 0, 1 and 2 (typically 60cm or more away from a shower head or bath edge). Consult IET Wiring Regulations or a qualified electrician if unsure about bathroom zone placement.
How is the light distributed?
The Flara emits light both upwards and downwards along the wall surface, creating a wash effect above and below the fitting. It does not project light forward into the room, so it functions as accent or task lighting rather than primary ambient lighting.
