Description

The Flame is a 470mm outdoor table lamp shaped as a curved, flame-like column in opal white polyethylene, mounted on a white epoxy-coated metal base. The single E27 socket sits inside the hollow body, which diffuses light evenly through the translucent polymer material. Rated IP65, the lamp is fully weatherproof against rain and dust, making it suitable for year-round outdoor use on patios, terraces and garden tables.

Designed for outdoor dining areas, pool surrounds and balcony seating, the Flame provides soft ambient light without the glare of exposed bulbs. The 190mm square footprint sits comfortably on most bistro tables and side tables without dominating the surface. The opal white finish casts a neutral glow that pairs with warm-white or daylight LED bulbs (sold separately), and the sculpted profile adds visual interest during daytime when unlit.

The polyethylene body resists UV degradation, impact and temperature extremes, while the epoxy-coated metal base prevents corrosion from moisture exposure. The lamp weighs 1.3kg, providing stability in moderate wind without needing additional ballast. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb fitted, pairing with a dimmable LED and a suitable dimmer allows gradual light adjustment from full brightness down to a low background glow.

Also produces a cordless induction-charged version of the Flame for flexible placement away from mains sockets. The mains-powered model here requires a standard 230V outdoor socket or weatherproof extension lead, with the cable running from the base.

What does the IP65 rating mean?

IP65 means the lamp is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand water jets from any direction. It can be left outdoors in rain and will not be damaged by typical garden hose spray or heavy downpours.

What bulb should I use?

The lamp takes a standard E27 bulb (sold separately). Most users pair it with a 6-10W warm-white LED (2700K-3000K) for ambient outdoor lighting. Higher wattages up to the stated maximum can be used where brighter task light is needed.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb fitted. Use a dimmable E27 LED with a compatible dimmer switch on the mains circuit. Non-dimmable bulbs will not respond to dimmer controls and may flicker or fail if forced onto a dimmed circuit.

Can it be used indoors?

Yes. The IP65 rating makes it suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms and conservatories where moisture resistance is beneficial, as well as for standard indoor placement on side tables or consoles.
