Description

The Firenze is a 2-light wall light cast in gold-finished resin, featuring two upward-facing candle-style arms that extend from a central fluted backplate topped with a turned finial. Each arm terminates in a candle drip cup that holds an E14 bulb (sold separately). The 330mm width and 380mm projection make this a substantial fitting suited to high-ceilinged hallways, formal dining rooms and period-style living rooms.

The gold finish replicates the patina of aged brass, with darker tones settling into the recesses of the fluted bowl, acanthus leaf detailing and scrollwork arms. This gives the fitting a lived-in authenticity that suits Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian interiors without requiring the weight and cost of solid metal. The upward-facing candle configuration directs light onto the wall and ceiling, creating indirect ambient illumination rather than task lighting.

The resin construction keeps the weight manageable for installation on plasterboard walls with standard cavity fixings, unlike comparable cast-brass fittings that often require blocking or solid-wall fixings. The IP20 rating limits use to dry interior locations only. No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress and must only be installed in dry interior locations away from direct contact with water.

How is the gold finish maintained?

The resin finish can be dusted with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the resin or using household sprays that may damage the finish. The gold tone is part of the casting and will not tarnish like real brass.
