Description

The Finsbury Park is a 9 light chandelier built from solid cast brass with nine curved arms radiating from a central column, each arm fitted with a hand-cut glass sconce and terminated by an E14 candle bulb fitting. The polished nickel finish reflects both daylight and artificial light, creating a bright, clean metallic tone that sits between chrome and silver. Hand-cut glass droplets hang from each arm and beneath the central boss, adding prismatic light scatter when the chandelier is lit.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Finsbury Park suits formal dining rooms, double-height entrance halls, and large living spaces where an 820mm diameter fitting can occupy the centre of the room without overwhelming furniture placement. The drop is adjustable on installation from 830mm to 1660mm using the chain and cable provided, allowing the chandelier to be set 700-850mm above a dining table or lower in rooms with higher ceilings. The nine E14 bulbs (sold separately) provide sufficient output for ambient lighting in rooms up to 25-30m².

The solid brass construction and hand-cut glass give the chandelier a substantial weight and presence, distinct from lighter pressed-metal alternatives. The polished nickel finish is applied over the brass, delivering the bright reflectivity of chrome without the cooler blue undertone. Each glass droplet is individually cut and hand-fitted, so minor variations in clarity and facet angles are normal. The curved arms create a symmetrical nine-point arrangement when viewed from below, with each arm positioned at 40° intervals around the central axis.

What bulbs does it take?

The chandelier takes nine E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, maximum 60W per bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W per bulb and 2700K colour temperature to mimic traditional candle light.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 820mm to 1660mm adjustable drop works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For a dining table the chandelier typically hangs 700-850mm above the table surface, which requires ceiling heights of at least 2.4m.

Can the drop be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjustable on installation by shortening or lengthening the chain before final fixing. Once installed, the chain length is set unless the ceiling rose is removed and the chain adjusted again.

How is the glass cleaned?

The hand-cut glass droplets and sconces attract dust. Clean with a dry microfibre cloth or a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Switch off power at the mains before cleaning and allow bulbs to cool fully. Avoid household sprays or chemical cleaners on both glass and polished nickel surfaces.
