Description

The Finsbury Park is a 6-arm chandelier built from solid cast brass with a polished nickel finish, featuring hand-cut glass droplets and cut glass sconces on each arm. Six curved arms radiate from a central column, each terminating in a candlestick holder taking an SES E14 bulb (sold separately). The polished nickel surface provides a bright, reflective finish that sits between chrome and silver in tone.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the chandelier suits both traditional and transitional interiors where a central decorative fitting is wanted. The 600mm diameter arm span works over dining tables seating 6-8 people, positioned 750-850mm above the table surface. The chain-hung suspension allows height adjustment during installation to suit room proportions.

Each of the six arms carries a hand-cut glass sconce and glass droplet beneath the bulb holder, catching and refracting light when the chandelier is lit. The cast brass construction gives the fitting substantial weight and solidity compared to stamped or hollow fittings. The polished nickel finish is applied over the brass and buffed to a mirror-like surface, requiring occasional polishing to maintain the brightness over time.

What bulbs does it take?

The chandelier takes six SES E14 candle bulbs (small Edison screw), sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K to replicate the warm glow of traditional incandescent lamps.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen. LED bulbs must be marked as dimmable and paired with an LED-compatible dimmer switch. Incandescent and halogen E14 bulbs dim on standard trailing-edge dimmers.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 510mm body height plus chain suspension typically requires a ceiling height of 2.7m or above when hung over a dining table. For double-height spaces or entrance halls, ceiling heights up to 4m can accommodate the fitting with extended chain.

How is the polished nickel maintained?

Polished nickel will tarnish over time when exposed to air and humidity. Wipe regularly with a soft dry cloth to remove dust. For deeper cleaning or to restore brightness, use a metal polish formulated for nickel or chrome, applied sparingly with a microfibre cloth and buffed to shine.
