Description

The Finsbury Park is a three-light chandelier built around a ribbed glass lantern suspended on three polished nickel chains from a matching ceiling canopy. The glass body measures 220mm in diameter and 220mm in height, with vertical ribs running the length of the glass to refract light from the three E14 candle bulbs inside. A polished nickel gallery with scrolled brackets sits at the top and base of the glass, framing the lantern and securing it to the suspension chains.

Designed for hallways, entrance lobbies, small dining areas and compact kitchens, the chandelier provides central ceiling light in rooms where a larger fitting would dominate. The adjustable drop ranges from 420mm to 620mm on installation using telescopic rods within the central stem, allowing the fitting to be positioned appropriately for ceiling heights between 2.2m and 2.6m. The three chains attach to the ceiling canopy at evenly spaced points, keeping the lantern level once installed.

The polished nickel finish reflects ambient light and shows a bright, mirror-like surface that develops a subtle patina over time in high-humidity environments. The vertical ribbing in the glass diffuses the light from each E14 bulb outward through the curved surfaces, reducing glare while allowing the filament or LED element to remain visible as a decorative detail. The compact 220mm footprint fits smaller ceiling areas without requiring additional structural support beyond a standard ceiling rose.

What bulbs does it require?

The chandelier takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to a maximum of 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) between 4-6W for ambient hallway or dining light.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

No. The drop is set during installation using telescopic rods within the central stem. Once the chandelier is wired and fixed to the ceiling, the height cannot be adjusted without removing the fitting and resetting the rods.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The chandelier carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor porches, or any location where it may be exposed to moisture or condensation.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off at the mains before cleaning. Wipe the ribbed glass with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but ensure the glass is dried immediately to prevent water spots forming in the ribbed grooves.
