Description
A compact spotlight head for track, finished in white from the adaptor to the nose. The LED and its driver are built in, drawing 15W and putting out a cool white 4000K beam that is narrow enough to land as a defined pool of light rather than a general wash. The adaptor suits three circuit track, so a run of heads can be split between separately switched groups and you can light a worktop and a wall of pictures from the same rail without both coming on at once.
We use track like this where fixed positions would be a compromise: kitchens with an island and a run of open shelving, hallways hung with prints, a home office that needs light on the desk rather than over it. The cooler tone keeps whites looking clean and suits working areas, utility rooms and garden rooms better than a sitting room, where something warmer usually sits more comfortably. It is not dimmable, so it belongs on a plain switch. Keep it to dry rooms indoors; damp and dust are not its territory.
The housing is double insulated and finished in white throughout, so it sits quietly against a pale ceiling instead of drawing the eye. Cleaning takes little: switch off at the wall, give the head a moment to lose its heat, then wipe it over with a dry cloth, paying attention to the front where grease from a hob will dull the output sooner than dust will. It carries a five year warranty. We stock the same head in black and in a warmer white, both in a brighter output for longer worktops, and there is a single circuit version if your track is wired that way. The LED is integral, so there is no lamp to change.

Frequently Asked
Can I dim this track light?
No, it is non-dimmable. Wire it to an ordinary switch rather than a dimmer, as a dimmer can cause flicker or shorten the life of the driver.
What sort of track does it fit?
It uses a 3 circuit adaptor, letting heads on the same run be switched in separate groups. If your track is single circuit, we also stock the same head with a single circuit adaptor.
How much light does it give, and how tight is the beam?
1650 lumens at 4000K cool white, with a 38 degree beam. That is a spot rather than a flood, so expect a clear pool of light on a worktop, picture or shelf.
Can the LED be replaced when it fails?
No, the LED and driver are integral. Average rated life is 50,000 hours, so in normal domestic use it will run for many years before the head needs swapping.
How big is the head?
The shade measures 65mm across, with an overall height of 135mm and a projection of 130mm, and it weighs 0.54kg.
Is it suitable for a bathroom or covered porch?
No. It is rated IP20 for dry interiors only, so keep it to kitchens, hallways, living spaces and workrooms.
