Made from steel and glass, our Faraday Pendant Lampshade Large in brass is built around a wide, flattened shade of fine metal mesh, with a visible band running round the middle. The mesh gives the shade an open, airy quality rather than a solid, smooth surface, so light filters through the weave and spills softly across the room. We love how the warm brass colour catches the eye without overwhelming the space, and at 60.4cm in diameter it holds its own as the central point of a room. This is the larger of the two sizes we offer in this range, standing 26cm tall and weighing 2.1kg.

This pendant is simple to live with. It is compatible with E27 fittings and takes a max 15W LED bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the warmth and brightness that suit your room. Assembly takes around ten minutes, so you will not be left puzzling over fiddly parts. The shade carries CE marking and is intended for indoor use, which makes it a practical choice for kitchens, dining areas, hallways and open-plan living spaces where you want a generous pool of light.
