Description

The Facet is a 40cm flush ceiling light built around a bowl of geometric crystal sections set within a polished gold metal frame. Four E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the crystal bowl, which refracts and scatters light across walls and ceilings through its multi-faceted surface. The 19cm projection from ceiling to base keeps the fitting compact enough for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and landings where a pendant drop would hang too low, the flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose without needing a chain or rod. The four-bulb configuration provides enough light output for rooms up to 15m², with the crystal bowl softening direct glare while maintaining brightness. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces only.

Each crystal section is cut with angular facets that catch light at different angles depending on viewing position and time of day. The polished gold frame provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass door furniture, gold mirror frames and warm-toned interiors. The fitting takes four E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to match the gold frame tone.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 19.2cm projection from ceiling to base makes this suitable for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards. The flush mount design means there is no pendant drop to account for.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces only. It is not rated for bathroom zones or other areas where moisture is present.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe the crystal sections with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or letting water reach the metal frame or lampholder sockets.
