Description

The Fabio is a compact clip on lamp in silver, made from steel and plastic, with a rounded spot head on a flexible metal gooseneck arm and a spring clip at its base. It stands 30cm high, 10cm long and 8cm wide, so it takes very little room wherever you clip it. It holds a small E14 screw-fit bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, so you can choose the light that suits the job. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for dry rooms indoors.

Because it grips rather than stands, the Fabio works where a desk lamp will not fit: the edge of a shelf, the upright of a bookcase or the side of a desk. The gooseneck bends to put the light exactly where you need it, whether that is a magazine you are reading, a keyboard late at night or a hobby project on the table. We like it for bedrooms, student rooms and home offices, where every bit of surface counts and a lamp base would only get in the way. Because it sits off the desk, it leaves your whole worktop free for papers and a laptop.

The silver shade and clip are joined by a satin metal gooseneck, and a slim wire handle on the head gives you something to hold as you angle the shade. A cord switch sits within easy reach on the cable, so there is no hunting for a button on the lamp itself. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains power. Pick up an E14 bulb of no more than 40W at the same time, because the lamp arrives without one. The installation instructions come as a download, so you have them ready before first use.
