Description
The Fabia Lavico is a modern abstract rug in blue and grey. Its pattern is a sweep of swirling, marbled waves that flows across the whole surface like the veining in polished stone. Paler ivory tones break up the deeper blues, and fine golden lines trace the edges of the swirls. It is machine woven from 65% polyester and 35% acrylic, and its multi-textured pile gives the design a tactile surface, so the pattern has depth you can feel as well as see.
We would put it in a living room, where its cool blues and greys sit comfortably with neutral or warm-toned schemes. It comes in three sizes. The 120 by 170cm suits a smaller living room, placed in front of an armchair or under a coffee table. The 160 by 230cm frames a seating area, with the front legs of a sofa resting on it. The 200 by 290cm is the one for a larger room, reaching under a sofa and chairs to pull the whole space together.
Both short ends are finished with fringes, which give the rug a softer, more relaxed edge than a plain bound border, so it suits you if you like that finish. Before you choose a size, measure the space you have in mind and allow a margin of bare floor around the edges. Marking the outline with tape for a day or two is the simplest way to be sure it fits.
