Description

The Exility recessed track straight connector joins two sections of Maytoni Exility recessed track lighting in a straight line, maintaining electrical continuity and structural alignment between track segments. Each connector is formed from grey-finished stainless steel and sits flush with the plasterboard once installed, continuing the recessed profile without visible breaks or raised joints.

Designed for linear track lighting installations in kitchens, retail spaces, galleries and office corridors where track runs exceed the length of a single section, the connector ensures the track remains both mechanically stable and electrically live across the join. The flush fit with plasterboard keeps the track housing concealed within the ceiling plane, with only the track channel visible from below.

The grey powder-coated finish on the stainless steel body matches the Exility track system and resists corrosion in indoor environments rated to IP20. Each connector measures 70mm in height to accommodate the track depth, with a 12mm width matching the track channel. The pack contains two connectors, allowing a single purchase to extend one track run or join multiple sections across a larger ceiling installation.

What track system is this compatible with?

This connector is designed specifically for the Maytoni Exility recessed track lighting system. It will not fit other track brands or surface-mounted track systems, as the dimensions and electrical contact design are unique to the Exility range.

How is the connector installed?

The connector slots into the end of one track section and receives the end of the adjoining section, creating both a mechanical join and an electrical connection. The connector sits within the plasterboard recess alongside the track, so no additional ceiling cutout is needed beyond the original track channel slot.

Can these be used outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector is designed for dry indoor environments only. It is not weatherproof and should not be used in bathrooms, outdoor canopies or any location exposed to moisture.

Why are two connectors included?

Most track lighting installations require joining multiple sections to achieve the desired run length. Supplying two connectors per pack reduces the number of separate purchases needed and allows for symmetrical installations where track sections meet in the centre of a room or extend in opposite directions from a central power feed.
