Description

The Exility R300 is a curved track connector for recessed lighting installations in 12.5mm plasterboard ceilings. The aluminium curved section has a 300mm radius and a white powder-coated finish, allowing track lighting systems to follow curved ceiling lines or create curved layouts around architectural features. The connector carries 48V DC power between track sections and fits Maytoni's Exility recessed track system.

Designed for residential, retail and commercial ceiling installations where track lighting needs to follow a curve rather than run in straight lines, the R300 suits open-plan living spaces, curved kitchen islands, gallery walls and reception areas. The connector sits flush with the plasterboard surface once installed, with only the white track face visible from below. The 445mm arc length covers approximately 85 degrees of a circle at the 300mm radius.

The aluminium construction is rated IP20 for dry indoor use and carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty. The white finish matches standard plasterboard ceilings and white-painted surfaces, making the track system less visible when lights are not fitted. The connector joins to straight track sections using standard Exility track joiner clips, allowing curved and straight sections to be combined within a single ceiling run.

The R300 designation means a 300mm radius curve. The 445mm arc length of this connector covers approximately 85 degrees of a circle at that radius. To create a full 90-degree corner or quarter-circle, you would need slight adjustment of track positioning or a second connector.

Is this compatible with other track lighting systems?

The connector is designed specifically for the Maytoni Exility recessed track system running on 48V DC. It is not compatible with surface-mounted track systems or other manufacturers' recessed systems unless they share the same connector specification.

What depth of ceiling void is needed?

The connector is 46mm high, so a ceiling void depth of at least 50mm above the plasterboard is required to accommodate the connector body and allow for wiring clearance. Typical stud wall and ceiling constructions provide 70-100mm void depth.

Can multiple radius connectors be joined together?

Yes. Multiple R300 connectors can be joined using standard Exility track joiner clips to create tighter curves or longer curved runs. Each connector adds approximately 85 degrees of arc, so two connectors would create close to a semicircle.
