Description

The Exility is a 200cm magnetic track suspension cable designed to suspend Maytoni magnetic track lighting systems from the ceiling, creating a floating track installation with adjustable drop height. The cable features a black stainless steel construction with a magnetic ceiling mount at the top and a magnetic track connector at the bottom, allowing the track to be suspended at any point along its length without fixed positions.

Used in commercial retail spaces, offices, galleries and residential rooms with ceiling heights above 2.7m, the suspension cable allows track lighting to be positioned lower than a standard ceiling-mounted installation, bringing light closer to work surfaces, display areas or dining tables. The magnetic connectors click into place on compatible Exility track profiles, and the cable conceals the power feed from ceiling to track. The 200cm length can be trimmed during installation to suit specific ceiling heights.

The black stainless steel finish matches Maytoni's Exility track system and provides corrosion resistance in heated indoor environments. The cable itself is 2.2cm wide and uses a rectangular mounting plate measuring 8cm in length that fixes to the ceiling via four screw points visible in the image. What track systems is this cable compatible with?

The Exility suspension cable is designed specifically for Maytoni's Exility magnetic track lighting system. It will not fit standard 3-circuit track or other manufacturers' magnetic track profiles.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

The cable is supplied at 200cm and can be trimmed to a shorter length during installation. Once cut, the cable cannot be lengthened, so measure the required drop height carefully before trimming.

How is the ceiling plate fixed?

The 8cm rectangular ceiling plate fixes to the ceiling via four screw points. The plate must be fixed into a solid ceiling joist or into a ceiling with adequate load-bearing capacity — plasterboard alone will not support the combined weight of cable, track and fittings.

Does the cable carry electrical current?

Yes. The cable conceals the power feed from the ceiling connection to the track below. The magnetic connectors at top and bottom transfer power through contact plates, so no visible wiring runs down the cable itself.
