Description

The Exility recessed magnetic track is a 2m aluminium channel designed to sit flush within 12.5mm plasterboard ceilings, creating a continuous slot that accepts magnetic 48V DC track lighting fittings. The track profile measures 70mm wide by 46mm deep, with the visible slot sitting flush with the plasterboard surface once the ceiling is skimmed and painted. A white powder-coated finish on the visible channel edges blends with white ceilings.

Designed for new-build and refurbishment projects where ceiling access allows recessed installation, the track eliminates the visual bulk of surface-mounted track systems. The magnetic rail inside the channel accepts Maytoni Exility spotlights, pendant adapters and linear modules, which clip into place and draw 48V power from copper conductors running the length of the track. Fittings can be repositioned or swapped without tools, making the system adaptable as room layouts change.

The 48V DC system requires a separate mains-to-48V transformer (sold separately), typically installed in a ceiling void or plant room with cable runs to each track section. Multiple 2m tracks can be joined end-to-end using connector accessories to create longer runs, or installed in parallel rows for higher light densities. The aluminium construction keeps the track lightweight enough for standard plasterboard installation using appropriate fixings into joists or ceiling battens.
