Exility 2m Magnetic Surface-Mounted Track - Black

The Exility is a 2m magnetic surface-mounted track in black anodised aluminium, designed to carry 48V DC magnetic lighting fixtures. The track houses three parallel conductor rails concealed within the extruded aluminium profile, allowing magnetic spotlights, pendant adaptors and linear modules to be positioned and repositioned anywhere along the 200cm length without tools or pre-drilled fixing points.

Designed for retail spaces, offices, galleries and residential kitchens where lighting layouts need to adapt over time, the track mounts directly to ceilings or soffits using supplied brackets at 50-75cm intervals depending on structural material. The 48V DC system requires a compatible driver (sold separately) and supports total loads determined by the driver rating, typically 150-200W across multiple fixtures per 2m run. The magnetic system holds fixtures securely while allowing single-handed removal and repositioning.

The black anodised finish on the aluminium resists fingerprints and minor abrasion better than painted metal and sits flush against dark ceilings in contemporary interiors. The 52mm height and 26mm width give the track a low-profile appearance when viewed from below, particularly when paired with recessed or semi-recessed magnetic fixtures. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry interior environments only.

The Exility track can be installed as a single 2m run or joined end-to-end with compatible connectors (sold separately) to create continuous lighting runs up to 6-8m depending on the power supply configuration. Corner connectors and T-junctions allow the track to turn 90 degrees or branch into perpendicular runs, creating L-shapes, U-shapes or grid layouts without additional wiring.

What fixtures can be mounted on this track?

The track accepts any Maytoni Exility magnetic fixture rated for 48V DC, including adjustable spotlights, fixed downlights, pendant adaptors and linear modules. Fixtures from other manufacturers may not be compatible unless they use the same magnetic connector standard.

Does it include a power supply?

No. The track requires a separate 48V DC driver rated for the total wattage of all fixtures you intend to mount. Maytoni produces compatible drivers sold separately, or you can use third-party LED drivers that output 48V DC.

Can multiple tracks be joined together?

Yes. The track accepts straight connectors to join two 2m sections end-to-end, creating a continuous 4m run. Corner connectors and T-junction connectors (sold separately) allow the track to turn or branch into L-shapes, U-shapes or grid layouts.

What fixing centres are recommended?

Mount the track using ceiling brackets at 50-75cm intervals depending on whether you're fixing into timber joists, concrete or plasterboard. Closer fixing centres (50cm) are recommended when mounting multiple heavy fixtures or when fixing into plasterboard with cavity anchors.
