Description

The Ginger is a plug-in LED wall light combining a wide wood-effect dish shade with a slim black metal arm and an integrated 12W 3000K LED. A second smaller black bowl sits below the main shade, bouncing light upward into the wood-grain dish so the visible glow is reflected rather than direct. This is an ex-display piece, sold as seen.

Suited to hallways, bedside positions, reading nooks and living room alcoves, the Ginger mounts to the wall and runs from a standard mains plug via a trailing cable with an inline rocker switch. The plug-in setup means it can be installed without an electrician where a socket is within reach, and the inline switch allows it to be turned on and off without using the wall socket.

The shade measures 42cm wide by 40cm tall with a 35cm projection from the wall, giving a generous spread of indirect light without dominating a narrow space. The matt black metalwork contrasts with the warm tone of the wood-effect upper shade and white painted underside, and the integrated LED removes the need to source a bulb. Being a 3000K colour temperature, the output is warm white rather than cool.

As an ex-display item, the fitting may show minor signs of handling or display use. It is supplied as seen at a reduced price, with the original 2-year warranty no longer applicable to ex-display stock.

Does it need to be hardwired?

No. The Ginger is a plug-in wall light with a trailing cable and a standard UK plug, so it can be mounted to the wall and run from any nearby socket. An inline rocker switch on the cable allows it to be turned on and off without reaching the socket.

Yes. The 12W LED is integrated into the fitting at a fixed 3000K warm white colour temperature, so no separate bulb is needed.
