Description

The Evelyn is an 800mm linear suspension light with four E27 fittings housed inside a black fabric shade, suspended from an oval polished chrome ceiling plate. A vertical panel of square-cut crystals runs down the centre of the shade, catching and reflecting light from the bulbs within. The chrome canopy measures 300mm deep and conceals the adjustable cable system that allows the drop to be set between 300mm and 1250mm during installation.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and bar counters where linear task lighting is needed, the Evelyn works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. At the minimum 300mm drop it functions as a semi-flush ceiling light, sitting close to the ceiling for lower rooms. Extended to 800-1000mm it becomes a statement pendant over a dining table or island worktop. The black shade diffuses the light from the four bulbs while the crystal panel directs focused sparkle downwards and outwards, creating both ambient fill and decorative accent.

The black gauze fabric is stretched over a rigid frame with a frosted white diffuser panel on the underside, which softens the direct light output and prevents glare when viewed from below. The polished chrome framework contrasts sharply with the black textile, and the square-cut crystals add depth and texture to what would otherwise be a flat rectangular form. At 4.8kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing and is compatible with standard UK ceiling roses and junction boxes rated for the load.
