Description

The Eve is a 600mm-wide wall light from Mantra consisting of three curved anthracite arms extending from a central circular backplate, each supporting a rectangular black fabric shade. Each shade houses an E27 bulb (sold separately) and measures approximately 120mm wide, giving the fitting a total spread of 600mm across the wall with a 140mm projection from the mounting surface.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and wide hallways where horizontal spread is more useful than vertical height, the Eve provides ambient side lighting rather than direct task illumination. The three-light configuration gives balanced coverage across a 2-3m section of wall, making it suitable for mounting above a sideboard, console table or along a wall opposite a seating area. The 310mm height allows the fitting to sit comfortably in rooms with 2.4m ceilings without visually overwhelming the wall.

The black fabric shades are backed with a cream inner lining that reflects light back through the fabric, softening the output and preventing harsh glare. The anthracite frame finish is a dark grey-charcoal with a slight metallic sheen, sitting between matt black and gunmetal. The frame is made from steel rather than lightweight alloy, giving the 1.8kg fitting enough mass to sit stable on the wall once mounted. The fabric shades are pleated vertically, which creates texture when viewed from the side and prevents the shades from appearing flat.

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen — any dimmable E27 LED or filament bulb will work with a compatible wall dimmer. Most users pair this with three warm-white LEDs between 6-8W and 2700K-3000K for ambient evening lighting.
