Description

The Eve is a single-arm wall light with an anthracite metal bracket and a square black fabric shade, housing one E27 bulb (sold separately). The metal arm extends from a circular wall plate at an upward angle, positioning the shade 340mm above the mounting point and projecting 140mm from the wall. The black shade measures 180mm square and is made from textured fabric with a clear inner liner that diffuses light evenly.

Designed for bedside positions, lounge alcoves, hallways and dining room accent lighting, the Eve works as a solo fitting or in symmetrical pairs flanking a bed, mirror or artwork. The 340mm height suits standard UK bedroom wall heights of 2.4m when mounted 1.5-1.8m above floor level, placing the light at a comfortable reading height without glare. The anthracite finish on the metalwork is a dark grey-brown that reads almost black in low light but retains definition under daylight.

The fabric shade softens the light output from any standard E27 bulb, making this suitable for ambient or task lighting depending on bulb choice. A warm-white LED at 6-10W provides enough output for bedside reading, while a lower-wattage filament bulb gives decorative glow. What's the projection from the wall?

The arm projects 140mm from the wall plate to the centre of the shade. The total projection including the fabric shade depth is approximately 200mm, so allow clearance if fitting above a bedside table or beside a mirror.

Can it be fitted on plasterboard?

Yes. At 0.6kg the Eve is light enough to be mounted on plasterboard using cavity wall fixings (spring toggles or metal cavity anchors). Ensure fixings are rated for at least 2kg to provide margin.
