Estilo 2 Light Floor Lamp - Brown & Black Oxide

The Estilo is a 1.8m floor lamp built around two curved metal arms rising from a circular brown and black oxide base, each arm topped with a hand-blown amber frosted glass shade housing an E14 bulb (sold separately). The arms cross at mid-height and diverge toward their upper ends, creating an asymmetric sculptural form that sits well in corners or beside seating without blocking sightlines.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading nooks where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Estilo provides soft diffused light through the frosted amber glass rather than directed downlight. The 1.8m overall height places the lamp heads at approximately 1.6-1.7m, above typical seated eye level but below ceiling height in standard UK rooms. The 380mm x 320mm footprint occupies less floor space than a tripod lamp while the 10.55kg weight gives stability on carpets and rugs.

The brown and black oxide finish is applied over steel, giving the metal an aged, weathered appearance with tonal variation across the surface rather than a uniform colour. The amber frosted glass shades are individually blown, so slight differences in shape and tone between the two shades on a single lamp are characteristic of the handmade process. The curved ribbon-like arms taper as they rise, reducing visual weight at the upper ends while maintaining structural strength at the base.

The Estilo is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the lighting circuit. Typically recommends E14 candle or golf ball bulbs between 4-6W LED for this fitting, as higher wattages can create glare through the frosted glass rather than the intended soft glow.

What bulbs does the Estilo take?

The lamp takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. For the best balance of light output and diffusion through the amber glass, we recommend E14 candle or golf ball bulbs between 4-6W LED and 2700K-3000K warm white.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch installed on the lighting circuit. The lamp itself is not dimmable via an inline switch on the cable.

How stable is it on carpet?

The 10.55kg weight and 380mm x 320mm circular base provide stability on both hard floors and medium-pile carpets. On thick or shag rugs the base may sit unevenly. Placing it where the rug meets bare floor can help.

Do the glass shades vary between lamps?

Yes. Each amber frosted glass shade is hand-blown, so slight differences in shape, thickness and tone are normal. The two shades on a single lamp may also differ slightly from each other.
